Old Bill’s Giving Season is here! Through September 18, your gift to Energy Conservation Works helps turn local energy ideas into real projects — helping Jackson Hole homes, businesses, and community buildings save energy, lower costs, and become more resilient.
Since 2010, community support and partnerships have helped ECW invest more than $3.79 million in energy-saving projects across Teton County, with another $5 million on the way. We’ve made 180 low-interest loans to local homeowners and businesses and supported more than 50 public-benefiting energy projects throughout the valley.
Those numbers represent something bigger: practical energy solutions reaching the people and places that make up our community.

Public and grant funding can help pay for projects. Private support helps ECW do the work that makes those projects possible in the first place — identifying opportunities, developing solutions, building partnerships, securing funding, and seeing projects through.
Your gift also helps us connect homeowners, renters, businesses, and community organizations with the expertise, financing, and resources they need to make energy-saving improvements possible. In that way, your support can help unlock much larger investments in our community.
What does your gift make possible?
Your support helps ECW turn opportunities into projects with real benefits for our neighbors.
That can look like helping the owner of a 50-year-old Teton County home replace drafty windows and doors and insulate a crawl space — making the house more comfortable, lowering energy costs, and helping keep the property rented to local workers.
It can mean partnering with the Jackson Hole Community Housing Trust to bring heat pump water heaters into affordable homes, using grant funding secured by ECW to help make the technology accessible to households that can benefit from lower energy bills.
Or it can mean investing in projects that benefit the entire community. Through the Community Energy Leverage Fund, approximately $1 million in grant funding is available for the next round of local energy projects.
Over the years, this same approach has helped bring projects to life across the valley — from solar at the Recycling Center and START bus facility to shared solar serving Town Hall, the Courthouse, and Recreation Center, energy-efficient lighting at Snow King, and efficiency improvements at other community buildings.
