LOWER VALLEY ENERGY, “What To Know Before You Go Solar”

Lower Valley Energy has supported member-owned solar for more than 25 years through its Net Metering program, which allows systems up to 25 kW to offset on-site electricity use. Installing solar requires approval of a one-line diagram, a signed Net Metering Agreement, and an island test before billing can be switched to a net metering account.

In addition to member-owned systems, LVE also offers opportunities to participate in Community Solar projects and showcases solar at its Jackson office and Bondurant solar and wind site. Local installers like Creative Energies have partnered on many projects to help members size systems, understand costs, and plan for payback.
