Spring already seems to be in the air already here in Jackson Hole. As we dream of true springtime, Jackson residents have something more than longer, warmer days to look forward to: Energy Conservation Works (ECW) is pleased to announce the return of the annual Jackson EcoFair. This annual celebration of environmental stewardship and sustainability calls on community members to caretake this special valley through simple and thoughtful living.
EcoFair 2026 will take place on the afternoon Saturday, May 16, returning to the Phil Baux Green Space at the base of Snow King Mountain. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $5. On EcoFair morning, community members can meet at the picnic shelter in Phil Baux Park to join the Jackson Hole Rotary Club’s Spring Clean-up effort.
EcoFair is a legacy event in Jackson Hole, rooted in community and designed to empower local residents to act on sustainability in all aspects of life. A multitude of booths provide key information regarding reducing energy consumption, cutting greenhouse gas emissions, adopting renewable power, supporting sustainable businesses, and leaning into active waste reduction. Fairgoers will leave with renewed inspiration and creative ideas for tangible action.
Whether you represent a business, non-profit organization, government entity, or a grassroots effort, anyone who values working for a more healthy world is invited to participate - learn how to be a part of EcoFair at jacksonecofair.org. EcoFair depends on volunteers to create an incredible experience for community members and visitors alike. If you are interested in learning about volunteer opportunities, email info@jacksonecofair.org.
EcoFair operates under a zero waste model through both promotion and practice. All booth, workshop, and exhibit hosts are provided with key support and guidelines by event partner JH Zero Waste Project. Food and beverage service utilizes only reusable serviceware. A central waste diversion station, manned by volunteers on the EcoFair Green Team, helps fairgoers keep as many discarded items as possible out of the landfill. EcoFair, by operating on Teton County property, runs on 100% Green Power. With this model, EcoFair consistently reaches an average of 85% waste diversion, and the overall carbon footprint of the event is offset via the Rocky Mountain Institute’s Good Traveler program.
“We invite families and business owners, green building professionals and students to this lively community gathering,” says ECW Executive Director Melissa Turley. “Join us at the base of Snow King on May 16 to connect with changemakers and work together towards a sustainable future.”
EcoFair is possible due to continuous support from generous local contributors, including the Jackson Hole Airport, Teton Conservation District, Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism, and Jackson Hole EcoTour Adventures. EcoFair provides comprehensive sponsorship opportunities, designed to provide engagement options for every budget.
